Before the Elections to the European Parliament, the Project Lodz Foundation orgnized two debates of major parties' candidates.
On May 19 in the Heritage Club we hosted:
- Mr. Adam Fronczak (Polish People's Party, PSL),
- Mr. Marek Michalik (Law and Justice, Pis),
- Mr. Jacek Saryusz-Wolski (Civic Platform, PO).
The debate was moderated by Mr. Ireneusz Jablonski, the President of the Foundation's Board.
The second meeting was directed to the academic circles and, thus, co-organized at the University of Lodz by the Students' Union of the Faculty of International Studies. To the discussion, led by Przemyslaw Zurawski vel Grajewski, Ph. D., we invited following politicians:
- Mr. Adam Fronczak (Polish People's Party, PSL),
- Mr. Jan Krysinski (Civic Platform, PO),
- Mr. Marek Michalik (Law and Justice, Pis),
- Mr. Jacek Kedzierski (Libertas).
Main issues of the debate were related to Polish participation and role within the EU, the implications of the financial crisis onto the integration process, the adoption of single currency. Each candidate represented his ideas on how to work in the European Parliament.
